Ann Jeannette (Byford) Tucker, Born 14 December 1937, Passed away Wednesday, 10 December 2025. Born in Hailsham, Sussex, England, United Kingdom; moved to Wembley, London at the age of 4. She and her family survived the bombing of London during WW2. She met her future husband, Bruce, USAF, at Margate, Kent during holiday. They were married in Wembley in 1956. They moved to Margate for 1 year and they had a son, Bruce Ray, in 1957. They were militarily reassigned to Roswell, NM in 1958. She had a daughter, Loretta Ann, in 1960. Other USAF Military Assignments in Lincoln, NE; Austin, TX; Bangor, ME; and Guam. The family moved to a farm outside Seymour, MO in 1970 following her husband’s USAF retirement. Relocated to Springfield in 1985. Became a U.S Citizen in 1997.
Preceded in death by Father (Cecil Gilbert Byford), Mother (Ethel Jeannette Byford), Brother (Gerald Derek Byford), Husband (Bruce Carmen Tucker), Son-in-law (Jackie Blankenship), and Daughter-in-law (Katheryne Tucker).
Survived by Son (Bruce Ray Tucker), Daughter (Loretta Ann Blankenship), Grandchildren (Bruce, Ricky, and Sara) and Great-Grandchildren (Jack, Henry, Lainey, Annie, Tucker, and Arthur)
Ann enjoyed club participation (British Club, Seymour Club, Hospitality Club, Red Hats, and served as secretary for Marshfield Extension Association). Extensive travel throughout the U.S. and abroad. Loved being with family.
Ann was gregarious and had many friends. She was especially close to her neighbors, Dave and Carolyn Cantrell, who willingly helped her and her family throughout the years.
Ann moved in with her son in Alabama in 2022 due to health issues. She was grateful for the loving care he provided while she missed being with her family and friends in Missouri. She loved her family dearly, especially the little ones who affectionately called her GG.
Ann’s life was full, exciting, loving, and definitive. She enriched all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.
