Anna Mae Jones, age 78, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield. She was born March 13, 1932. She graduated from Willard High School and worked for Frisco Railroad for 15 years.
She was united in marriage to Howard Lee Jones, on August 16, 1956, in High Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl C. and Erma Monroe. She is survived by husband, Howard Lee Jones; daughter, Rhonda Taylor and husband Gene, of Mansfield, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Cashler and husband Adam, of West Virginia, Alicia Taylor, of Norfolk, Va., and Noah Taylor, of Mansfield, Mo; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 19, 2010, at 12:30 p.m, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans’ Cemetery at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Sunday, July 18, 2010, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the funeral home.
