Anthony E. Kuzas, age 95, of Springfield, MO passed away on November 17,2016. He was born in Homestead, PA on July 2, 1921. Tony served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II and is a member of St Agnes Parish. He was a retired painter and construction contractor. After retiring, he did volunteer work for St John's Auxilliary. He married Vernay Bowen in 1995. Hobbies included Bingo and traveling.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Anna Petrauskiute and Anthony Kuzas, his first wife Olive Reynolds, and a sister Irene Adams, two stepsons Robert Livingston and Clarence Livingston and one step daughter Nettie. His wife, Vernay, preceded him in death July 5th of this year. He is survived by his brothers Edward Kuzas and his wife Mary of MD, and Charles Pangonis and his wife Patricia of IN, and his brother in law George Adams of IN, stepdaughters Jacquelyn Henry and her husband Matt of Grapevine TX, Charlotte Martin and her husband David of Springfield, stepson Ron Bowen and his wife Kathleen of Bedford TX, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with visitation at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Legion Post 69, 149 Memorial Av, Springfield MO 65806 or charity of donor's choice.
