Anthony “Tony” Pierfelice 93, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at Brookhaven nursing home. He was born on February 17, 1926 to Filippo and Emilia (Riccchena) Pierfelice. On September 8, 1944 he married Dorothy Moss. During this time Tony was called into Military Service and fought in WWII with the 86 battalion and was engaged in several campaigns.
Tony was a machinist by trade, where he worked for Rutherford Machine Company in New Jersey. In 1992 he and Dorothy retired from Cedar Grove, New Jersey, where thy had lived for 23 years, moving to Springfield MO.
Tony enjoyed helping people and spent several years working at Mercy Seniors as a volunteer.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, A son, Anthony and a daughter, Dorothy. Brothers, Al and Johnny, Sisters, Connie, Margaret and Rosie.
He is survived by his daughter Karen, her husband, Les Unruh and grandson, Clint. Granddaughter, Toni, her husband, Will Reed and great grandson, Connor. Grandson, Dante Bang. Granddaughter, Michelle, her husband, Doug Sparks, and great grandchildren Tyler, James and Allison. Daughter in law Mary, her husband Don Brandt. Sisters, Eleanor Presinzano and Lucy Finamore.
Visitation 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2019 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, in Springfield MO with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York Friday December 13, 2019.
