Seymour – Audrey LaVon (Sis) Drake 82, passed away on December 17,2017 and is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on February 10, 1935 in Spokane, Mo daughter of Boyd and Mabel (Chambers) Hedrick.

She was preceded in death by her husband LeRoy who she shared 53 years of marriage, her parents, son David Drake, brother Sammy Gerald Hedrick, sister Paula McGuire, stepfather Burnes Sparkman who was Grandpa and Pop to her family.

She is survived by her daughter Saundra Lorenz (Kenneth) Fordland, son Danny Drake, Oklahoma, daughter Teresa Holdren (Steve) Seymour, sister Lou Compton (Carroll) Republic, half brother Marvin Hedrick (Lou) Texas, 2 half sisters Brenda and Elaine, Texas, Eleven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Her siblings grew up calling her (Sis) and everyone that she met she would say, “you can call me Sis”.

She loved the old gospel songs and had a beautiful voice that she shared with her grandchildren as she held them in her arms. On many nights she would sang Amazing Grace to Jesus. She loved her church so much and the message that her pastor Hosea would preach.

She was a prayer warrior for the Lord and prayed every night for all of her family and would tell God that she was ready to go to her heavenly home that He had for her.

At times her burdens were many and heavy but her faith in the Lord carried her thru all of those and turned many into blessings. Her family has been blessed by her goodness, strength and her sweet and loving spirit. We shall miss her in our lives.

Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on Wednesday December 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm and services on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Bledsoe Cemetary, Nixa.
