Avanell Wilcox 72, Springfield, Mo. passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 in her home after long illness. Born in Alton Mo. she had been a Springfield area resident for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Esther Hooper by her husband Marvin Wilcox, and her son Mark Wilcox.
She is survived by her seven children; Norma Liles and her husband Jimmy, Sammy Wilcox, Dale Wilcox and his wife Christy Ford, Patty Wilcox and her husband Johnny White, Debbie Wilcox and Sherry Applegate, Joye Cole, and Steven Wilcox, Samantha Maggard, 18 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with visitation one hour before, from noon to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
