Sheila West left a message on September 18, 2025:
Barbara Jean was my only sister, my “Sissy.” She was 15 when I was born, and my earliest memories are of her loving care. She was so very beautiful, and the kindest, most gracious woman I’ve ever known. Barbara was a devout daughter to our parents, a faithful and loyal wife to her good husband, Jack, a good and loving mother to her sons, Bryan and Keith, a blessing to her nieces, Robin and Jaqi, and she was the best big sister any girl could ask for. Already, I miss our weekly phone chats. My hope is that her sweet soul is at rest with the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we will meet again at the resurrection.

I met Miss Barbara only once and spoke to her on the phone just a few times but in talking with Mr Stout I had grown to feel as if I knew her well. His love and admiration for his wife of 70 years was so evident when he spoke of her that it was impossible to miss. We are so glad that the family has the assurance of seeing her again as she is now with her savior…at rest and joyful Our deepest sympathy and prayers for strength Walter and Becky Guthrie

Sending my prayers for peace and comfort in knowing Barbara’s at peace with the Lord. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭
