Bernie Campbell, age 93 of Willard, Missouri died August 10, 2022 at Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri. He was born in Elkton, Missouri and was one of five children of Clyde and Mildred Williams Campbell.
He married Betty Jean Brown on June 3, 1947 in Fort Scott, Kansas. After marrying they lived briefly in Chillicothe, Ohio where their son Marshall was born. They then lived in Polk County Missouri for most of their married lives. First, near Rondo and then on a farm near Morrisville, where they lived for 45 years until moving to a house near Willard. They were married for 65 years before Betty’s death in 2012.
Bernie briefly owned a small business, but spent most of his life raising cattle and farming. He loved working the land. He was a member of the Willard Community Christian church in Willard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, three brothers and his daughter Linda Carol Cranford. Survivors include: a son Marshall Campbell of Walnut Grove, Missouri and a daughter Barbara White and husband Gary of Chelsea, Oklahoma. He is also survived by grandchildren Brittany Devoe and husband Jason of Roanoke, Texas; Scott Campbell and wife Shannon of Springfield, Missouri; Travis Campbell and wife Stacy of Walnut Grove, Missouri; Brock Campbell and wife April of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kimberly Shutz and husband Brandon of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition, he is survived by eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
