Berta Olinger was a loving wife, mother, memaw and friend. She passed away suddenly on January 27, 2022.
Berta was born to Bert and Laila Blunt on December 13, 1947 in Springfield, Missouri. She met her husband, Jerry, when she was 5 years old in the neighborhood where her three aunts and several cousins lived in close proximity. They were joined in marriage on May 26, 1966.
She enjoyed playing bingo with her best friend, Sandy, and going to the casinos with her cousins Romie & Robin.
Berta was preceded in death by her parents and her friend, Sandra. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry, her daughter, Lisa, son Ron & his wife Marina and grandchildren Dustyn, Kierstyn and Logan. She is also survived by her brother, Ken & wife Sherry, many cousins, nieces & nephews.
A celebration of Berta’s life will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 7, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, with interment in Eastlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm, Sunday in the funeral home.
