Betty Barnett
Betty Barnett, age 85, of Springfield, Mo., passed away April 28, 2010 in Cox South. She was born July 16, 1924, in Dora, Pa., to Guy and Ruby ( Laminson) Minick. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was retired from Packard Electric, in 1988, cosmetologist, homemaker, den mother cub scouts. She was very active in her church, where she served in the following areas; mission in Ventura, Calif., stake missionary, first and second counselor and relief society secretary, stake secretary for single adults, decorator for church functions, food coordinator, choir president. She had made many quilts over the years for humanitarian aide. Her parents and two brothers; Darl and Laird Minick precede her in death. She is survived by her two sons and their wives; Larry and Laura, Russell and Becky Barnett, all of Ozark; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, at 3 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, on East Bennett. Visitation will be held one hour before the services at 2 p.m. in the church.
