Betty Delvenia Buttram, age 80, of Springfield, MO, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 in her home, after a long illness. She was born December 17, 1933, in Texas, to Elvin and Leona (Butler) Dodson. She was a member for many years of the Assembly of God Church. She was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. She loved playing the harmonica and singing and enjoyed many crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Buttram, two daughters; Beverly Claussen, Kathryn D. Zlab (Victor) and a son Timothy Buttram (Darla), eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters;
Ethel Shuler, Letha Teague, and one brother Elvin Clifton Dodson Jr.. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO with Rev. James McIntosh officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice or to the American Leukemia Association .
