Betty Jean (Seamster) Monier, 86, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2024. Betty was born on October 11, 1938, in Goodson, Missouri, to Artie and Bessie (Lightfoot) Seamster. Betty married Robert Louis Monier, Jr. on May 3, 1958, in Bolivar, Missouri. Betty Jean (Seamster) Monier, 86, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2024. Betty was born on October 11, 1938, in Goodson, Missouri, to Artie and Bessie (Lightfoot) Seamster. Betty married Robert Louis Monier, Jr. on May 3, 1958, in Bolivar, Missouri.
Betty worked at Lilly Tulip, French’s, Zenith, and Burge Hospital, where she met her husband. She retired from General Electric in 1996. She was saved as young girl at Sentinel Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and she asked to go even when it wasn’t Sunday. Betty cherished her family. She spent a lot of time going on adventures with her sister, Shirley. Betty enjoyed embroidery and would use the patches to make quilts, and she made quilts for all of her family.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Monier, Jr.; her siblings: Nola Storment, James Seamster, Donnie Seamster, Johnnie Seamster, Edsel Seamster, Juantia Wilson, Shirley Potts, and Junior Seamster, and her son-in-law, Phillip Kroutil.
She is survived by her children: Artie Monier, and his wife, Kellie, Carol Kroutil, and Robert Monier III; grandchildren: Matthew Kroutil, Jennifer Groh, Mandy Williams, Tyler Monier, Melody Trotter, Amelia Oberg, Elizabeth Barr, and Tony Kroutil; many great grandchildren; a few great-great grandchildren; brothers, Alvie Seamster and Charles Seamster, and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Betty will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, Missouri. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Pitts Chapel. Interment will follow at Payne Cemetery in Polk. Missouri.
