Funeral services for Betty Jo Mitchell age 71 of Ozark, Missouri will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Rev. Howard Kenyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Dickens Cemetery in Taneyville, Missouri.

She passed away on April 13, 2017 at her home in Ozark, Missouri.

Betty was born on September 20, 1945 in Forsyth, Missouri the daughter of Albert Jack and Bernadene Stuart Edwards. She graduated from Forsyth High School with the class of 1963. Betty had worked for many years in banking where she was employed for seven years at the old Security Bank in Branson, 15 years at the Peoples Bank in Nixa, Missouri and retired as a deputy Christian County Collector where she worked for 15 years. She was united in marriage to Leon Mitchell on January 17, 1964 in Taneyville, Missouri and to this union was born one son.

Survivors are her husband: Leon Mitchell of the home in Ozark, Missouri, a son, Randy Mitchell of Ozark, Missouri, one brother, Bill Edwards of Ozark, Missouri and a sister, Linda King of Ozark, Missouri, several loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Edwards.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
