Betty Lou (Nickle) Ledbetter, 87, of Billings, Missouri, started her eternal life in the loving arms of Jesus on June 30, 2023. Betty was born on September 2, 1935, in Purdy, Missouri, to Bert B. and Helen (Brown) Nickle. She graduated from Cassville High School in 1953. Betty married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Charles Ledbetter, on May 16, 1954, and to this union three children were born.
Betty spent most of her life caring for her family. She spent many hours keeping the books for their construction business. Betty was saved as a young girl, and spent her life serving her Lord and Savior. It was her mission to let people know about the love of Jesus. At her death, she was a member of Cherry Street Baptist Church, for 55 years. She had an immense love for her three grandchildren. Betty was an avid reader; she and her granddaughter, Hannah, shared that love of reading.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ledbetter; her son, Donnie Lee Ledbetter; her grandson, Chuck Ledbetter; her parents, Bert B. and Helen Nickle; her sister, Bertha Snook, sisters-in-law, Dorothy and her husband, Cecil Daniel and Pat (Height) Boob, and brothers-in-law, J.C. Brattin and Richard Ledbetter.
Betty is survived by her two children: Jimmy Ledbetter and wife Renee of Nixa, MO, and Janice Piper and husband Efton of Republic, MO; two grandchildren: Jimmy Ledbetter and wife Jennifer of Oveido, FL, and Hannah Piper of Springfield, MO; two great grandchildren: Chance and Kaitlyn; sister, Carolyn Brattin of Exeter, MO; sister-in-law, Laura Ledbetter of Farmington, NM; two brothers-in-law, Bob Snook of Republic, MO and Bill Boob of Denver, CO; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Betty will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sparks Cemetery near Cassville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Street Baptist Church: Missions or Sparks Cemetery.

Betty was a sweet neighbor..We were so surprised to hear of her passing but know she is with Chuck & they are happily enjoying being back together under God’s watchful eye..she isn’t suffering anymore ????????

Betty was such a sweet lady. Every time I saw her she had a smile on her face no matter what was going on in her life. I used to go to church with her for years and her and Chuck were such kind and generous people. Their love for Jesus showed with how they helped others and opened their home to many of us through the years. When you walked in their home you felt such a peaceful and friendly environment. My deepest condolences to her wonderful family. Love you all

Betty was a very cherished, caring, wonderful neighbor. I loved stopping by to just sit and chat. We visited as if we had know each other forever. I miss her but knowing she is with Chuck and her Lord and Savior is comforting. May peace be with her.

My heart is broken seeing this. I just saw Betty earlier this year at my spa. We had a great visit and I loved my time with her. She held a very special place in my heart. She missed Charles so much and I can imagine how special the moment was when he greeted her! I can hear their voices now. Prayers for your family. She was a very special person.
