Billy Gene Tosh Jr., a beloved father and dedicated machine operator, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 4, 1955, in Skellytown, Texas, to Billy Gene Tosh, Sr. and Mary (Strawn) Tosh. Billy lived a life characterized by hard work and devotion to his family. He achieved his Graduate Equivalence Degree and spent many years working in the power plant industry, where he earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike for his unwavering commitment and skill.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Billy Tosh, Sr. and Mary Franklin; his wife Linda Marie (Mincks) Tosh; a grandson Christian Rojas; and one sister Renee Rudd.
Billy is survived by his five children: Billy Tosh of Muleshoe, TX, Will Gage Tosh of Washington, IA, Jeremy Tosh of Dallas, TX, Tori Rojas of Fulton, NY, and Casey Vega of Polk MO; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers: Doyle Tosh of OK, Terry and Mickey Tosh of TX; two sisters: April Caballero of TX, and Kathy Bradley of TN; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He cherished his family deeply, and his legacy will live on through them. Billy was known for his gentle spirit, warm heart, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
Family and friends are invited to gather to pay their respects and celebrate Billy’s life during the visitation Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. at Pitts Chapel. Private burial services will take place later. Billy will be remembered as a loving father and a steadfast friend. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. I worked with Billy for many years and considered him a friend. He was a hard worker that took great pride in his work. Respected him for always being open and saying just what he thought. I know he will be greatly missed and send my sympathies to his family.
