Bud Owens, age 79, of Morrisville, MO, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Brookhaven Healthcare. He was born July 28, 1932, in Morrisville MO, to Phillip and Mimi (Key) Owens. He was a member of the Brighton Assembly of God. He is a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven syblings.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Norma L. Owens; two daughters: Cherryl Pyle and husband Toby, and Sandie Cross and husband Mark all of Morrisville, MO; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice.
