Burnidine (Martin) Smith, age 84, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at Claire House, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Burnidine was born August 9, 1933 in West Plains, Missouri, to Thomas and Cora Martin. Burnidine worked as a book keeper. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Smith, in Las Vegas, NV. Burnidine loved to go fishing and cooking. Her greatest passion was sharing the Gospel with people.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Draper and wife Marolyn and Connie Sanders and husband Wayne; grandchildren, De’An Williams and husband Toy-Yan, and their two children, Toy-Yan Williams Jr. and Lily Williams, Jennifer Bannister and her daughter Lexus Tiger, Carolyn Johnson and husband Jason and their child Austin Johnson, Otta Draper and his three children, Teslyn Hamilton, Tyler Draper, Rebecca Draper, and Dawson Draper: a sister, Ruby Freshour; Marolyn Draper’s twin sister, Carolyn Rouselot; and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Smith; grandson, Jedidiah Sanders: great-grandson, Timothy Tre’ Tiger Jr.; her parents Thomas and Cora Martin; along with 10 other brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 11th, 2018 at 11:30 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
