With a heavy heart, the family of Cammellia Juanita Rector announce her peaceful passing on December 29, 2025, at 93 years old. Juanita was born August 30, 1932, to Oma and Leland Henry in Wright County, Missouri. Throughout her young life, C. Juanita moved with her parents to California before returning to Missouri. Juanita married the love of her life, Benjamin Franklin Rector, on August 21, 1949. Ben and C. Juanita were the proud parents of their children, Benny (Janice) Rector and Deborah (Matt) Kirkey, and loved Teresa MacIntosh-Kennedy like a daughter.
She was a beloved grandmother to five grandchildren: Benny (Hannah) Rector, Hase (Chancy Orem) Rector, Christopher (Abi Posnar) Kirkey, Kate (Nathan) Garcia, and Maggie (Jimmy) Dyke; and three bonus grandchildren: Krissie Kennedy, Bryan Kennedy, and Jessie (Jacob) Heying. C. Juanita was an adored great-grandmother to 14 beautiful children: Cammie, Keelyn, Bentley, Jade, Zeddicus, Quentin, Rowan, Elliott, Elizabeth, Raelynn, Willow, Nolan, Cooper, Bodhi, and Nathaniel. C. Juanita was also loved by many cousins, family, and friends.
Juanita spent her life as a nurse. She enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, and spending her winters in Florida. Above all else, her most devoted job was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Oma Holland and Leland Henry; her devoted husband, Ben Rector; bonus daughter, Teresa MacIntosh-Kennedy; bonus grandson, Bryan Kennedy; and great-granddaughters, Rowan Kirkey and Elliott Dyke. C. Juanita is survived by her children, Benny and Deborah; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom love her deeply and miss her exponentially.
A Graveside Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on January 6 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be hosted by the family at a later date.
