Carla Mae McHenry (Johnson), age 54, of Springfield, passed away on February 19, 2024, in her home. Carla was born to Johnny Joseph Johnson and Carol Elaine Johnson on August 28, 1969, in Riverside, California. She was raised in the Urbana & Tunas community where she graduated from Skyline High School in 1988. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in May 1983.

Carla worked for the Wal-Mart corporation and later went on to complete schooling to become a pharmacy technician which she enjoyed and did for several years. When not working, she loved to read and was an avid movie watcher. Her greatest joy was found in owning a pet. She loved her little dogs and was found with her constant companion, Addie, by her side.

Carla was proceeded in death by her father, Johnny, and mother, Carol; brothers, John David Johnson and Mark Edward Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Courtny Breanna Myers and siblings, Keith Allen Johnson and wife Shari, Jeffery Scott Johnson, Matthew Eugene Johnson, and Becky Linn Owens and husband Joshua. In addition, she will be missed by a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbors, and friends.

Currently there are no planned funeral services. The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to an animal rescue or shelter of your choice in her name be made.
