Carol Anna Gough, 79, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at Cox Hospital. Carol was born in Springfield, Missouri on February 13th, 1943, to two loving parents, John and Esther Bridges. She graduated from Central High School in 1961 and went on to obtain an associate degree at Southwest Missouri State University, now MSU. In 1968, she was united in marriage to Jerry Patton and soon welcomed two sons. In 1990, she was united in marriage to Daniel Gough. Carol spent the majority of her life in Springfield, Missouri, with various lengths of time in Winchester, Kentucky and Sarasota, Florida all in the medical field as office admin and manager. She would go on to teach Medical Terminology at Ozarks Technical Community College for several years. Carol is survived by her two sons and their wives: Christian & Mandy and Carey & Debra, three grandchildren: Blake, Jessica, and Jayde, whom she adored. Additionally, she is survived by her devoted brother Johnny Bridges and his wife Linda, a cousin Maralana (who was more like a sister) and her husband Gerald, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was a deeply religious Christian woman devoted to her savior Jesus Christ, as well as being devoted to her many friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at some point in the near future. Notification will be made via her social media accounts. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to either The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks or The Humane Society, two organizations she loved and was active with. She will be deeply, deeply missed.
