Carroll Junior Whittington, age 74, Springfield passed away Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at Cox Hospital South .
Carroll was born July 1, 1943 in Exeter, MO. He owned and operated a roofing company for many years. Carroll had a good heart, who never knew a stranger. He loved to go on road trips and family meals. The greatest love of Carroll's life was his family.
Survivors include four children, Amanda Primm, Springfield, Melissa Ruthrauff, Springfield, Eric Whittington, Springfield, and Lance Whittington, Joplin; former wife, Cheryl Hunter; grandchildren, Michael Heist, Springfield, Hannah Whittington, Springfield, Caleb Bowling, Springfield,Adam Whitington, Ashley Whittington, Craig Whittington, Storm Whittington, Cody Whittington,and Alex Whittington, all of Joplin; two sisters, Edith and Joyce; one brother, Donny: and a host family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Charles; three sisters, Faye, Ellen Mae, and Bonnie.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
