Cecil Ray Dillabough, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 2, 1948, in Springfield, MO, Cecil grew up in the heart of the Ozarks, where he developed a love for the great outdoors and a spirit of adventure that would accompany him throughout his life.
As a young boy, Cecil embraced the values of hard work and service, becoming an Eagle Scout-a testament to his dedication and commitment to excellence. His love for the outdoors extended well into adulthood, where he found joy in camping trips, shooting, and riding his cherished motorcycle. With a keen eye for detail, he also nurtured a passion for photography, capturing life’s moments for friends and family alike.
In his professional life, Cecil worked diligently as a line worker in the protective enclosures industry at American Products, where he dedicated many years of his life. But it was his role as a family man that defined him most. He treasured every moment spent with his wife, Janice, sons Christopher and Jeremy, and his beloved grandchildren. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of Cecil’s love-a legacy that will forever echo through their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Nelson and Golden (Weihs) Dillabough, and brother, Floyd Nelson Dillabough, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice; sons Christopher and Jeremy; and 11 grandchildren Thomas, Summer, Angel, Katie, David, Jacen, Scott, Jane, Johnathan, Abigail, and Jeremy Jr.
In honor of Cecil’s life, a visitation will take place on October 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate Cecil’s life and share fond memories.
Cecil Ray Dillabough will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. In our reflections, we find solace in the countless memories and the enduring love he shared with us. Rest easy, Cecil; your spirit will continue to inspire us to live fully, love fiercely, and cherish every moment.
