Born July 10, 1976, in Springfield, Missouri, Chad Julian Morton passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 49.
Chad lived life with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. He never missed a chance to crack a joke, lighten the mood, or remind the people around him not to take life too seriously. He was the kind of person who could make friends anywhere he went, and his laughter was often the brightest sound in the room. While he was known for his quick temper, those closest to him knew it never lasted long — his goofball nature always came back just as fast. More than anything, Chad loved his family fiercely, and his greatest joy came from being with them.
Chad is survived by his mother, Karen Morton; and his children, Brandy, Jonathan, Devin, and Rylan. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronnie Morton, John Morton, and his twin, Kevin Morton; his closest cousins, Travis Hudson and Robby Johnston; and five beloved grandchildren. He leaves behind a family who adored him and will forever miss his playful spirit, stubborn streak, and unwavering love.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Lee Morton, and his aunt, Brenda Johnston.
