Charles “Bob” Hawkins, 90, of Strafford, MO passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Charles was born on December 12, 1932, in Osage, Oklahoma. He graduated from Fordland High School and also attended Vocational School in Springfield. Bob was a mechanic and machine maintenance at Sweet Heart Cup, he also had worked at Burger King, Bratchers Bagging and Owned and operated Lillies Trash Service for eleven years while working at the factory.
Bob married Lillie “Craig” Hawkins on May 23, 1969, in Boulevard Baptist Church, he was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Bob loved to work on things and attend music jams.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Hawkins, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bob George, daughter and son-in-law, DeAnn and David Pratt, and a step son Rodney Day.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie; children, Danny and wife Deanna Hawkins, Stepchild, Erin Day, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, brother, Clyde and wife Pat Hawkins, Bill and wife, Beth Hawkins.
Bob loved his church, family and was a hard worker when he was able, loved helping people. He loved being a dad even with a blended family, it made no difference.
The visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on January 20, 2023, with services following at 2:00 pm.
