So sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. I walked in today’s ALS Walk downtown, and I saw a photo of Chuck along the route. I searched his name and read of his passing. Chuck audited the plant where I worked when I was the Hazardous Waste Coordinator. He was always kind and courteous- - a consummate professional. My son’s high school baseball coach, Howard Bell, also passed away from ALS, and his wife, Kim, spoke at today’s event. Chuck’s kindness and professionalism is missed.

I have a sketched and handcrafted portrait that Charles sketched for either my grandfather or my father, which both are home with the Lord. I did not know if anybody would want his, but it is precious and beautiful. My email address is kkrichardson50@gmail.com if any of his family would like this

Although I never had the privilege of meeting Chuck, I have only good memories of working with, and later for, Julie at Doctor's Hospital (by whatever name). My adventures in OH wore themselves out so I'm back home; I still have the picture of the whole gang that you sent me. Julie, I know that your heart is broken beyond description. I pray for your comfort and healing, and the same for your family. Love to all.
Heather Gideon left a message on December 4, 2021:
Dear Julie & Family, God be with you in this time of loss and grief. I pray for the day your sorrow will turn into all the beautiful memories of your time with Chuck. His loving heart and sweet disposition touched and blessed all who knew him. Give thanks that he is born anew in the arms of our Lord. “For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Cor.5:1 "Farewell" Farewell, our loved one, Dearest of the dear; Much too sweet for this world; Much too pure for us here. You brought a lovely light, Brightened us with your touch; You were favored by all, And we'll miss you very much. This earthly visit done, And in a moment lone, The angels quietly came, To take your spirit home. Enter now the Heavenlies, Where pain and suffering cease, Your true home welcomes you, God rest you now in peace. © Aunt Heather Gideon

My father was the most amazing man ever. He had so much love for his family and friends. There wasn’t a person who met him that didn’t love him. He loved me and my boys unconditionally and did everything he possibly could to ensure our safety and happiness. He always thought of others before himself and would have given his shirt off his back to someone in need. He never had harsh words for anyone and never criticized. He only gave love, support, understanding and prayers. He has made such an impression with our family and will always remain in our hearts. He was truly the best father anyone could ever ask for and will be desperately missed. We love you so much Poppie.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Chuck brought joy into every life he touched. We didn’t see each other often, but we became close over the past couple of years via email. Chuck’s unwavering faith and valor humbles me. He makes me want to be a better person. I love you, Chuck. Gail

Chuck was a wonderful little brother who went to be with the lord and is finally free of the terrible disease ALS. He remained strong in his faith and loved his beautiful wife and family. He always loved fishing and hunting. But fishing is a thing we will remember him talking about and doing with finesse. You will be greatly missed brother dear....rest in Peace

I still can't believe you are gone. I feel your presence all around me and I am holding on tight. You gave me the best years of my life and I don't know how to live without you. I thank God that your life was an example for our kids and grandkids to follow. I love you and know I will be with you again. You remain my knight in shining armor. Your wife. Julie.
Brent A Flood left a message on November 28, 2021:
Having been married to my sister Julie, I was a part of Chuck's life for over 40 years with cherished memories. I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together fishing on Taneycomo, Table Rock and local rivers and streams. Even though I never had a biological brother, I thought of Chuck as just that "my brother". I loved him with all my heart and know he is now in that heavenly place with no more pain or suffering, and waiting for the love of his life (Julie) to join him whenever that day is, and the Lord calls her home too.
Ed Sears left a message on November 22, 2021:
I had the honor and privilege to call Chuck my good friend for nearly 50 years. Of his many virtues, I have never known from anyone, a stronger commitment to faith and family. Truly one of a kind. I am so glad that he is relieved of his suffering, but greatly saddened by his leaving here. I am fortunate to have the luxury of many memories of our good times together. Later, Chuck.
Tom Norrell left a message on November 22, 2021:
