Charles Richard Harp departed this life on October 14, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones in his home in Pleasant Hope at the age of 78.
Charles was born on January 17, 1945 to parents Arthur and Ethel Harp (née Collins).
Charles was married to Louise Cruse for 21 years and had 4 boys. Though this relationship wasn’t permanent, they remained friends afterwards.
In 1985, Charles married Sandy Taylor and lovingly accepted and enjoyed a blended family. He was a wonderful Dad, Papa and Pops to all.
He loved fishing, hunting and camping. The St. Louis Cardinals and Springfield Cardinals were his number one teams. He was a season ticket holder for many years. He loved watching westerns, playing cards, and was always available to give direction to the kids’ home improvement projects. He will be greatly missed.
Charles was survived by: Sons, Bruce (Becky) Harp, Rick (Edie) Harp, Dennis Harp, Kristopher (Leesa) Taylor. Daughter, Kimberly (Gary) Cooper. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Kaci, Amber, Austin, Gabriel, Jaden, Asher, Landon. Great Grandchildren, Maverick and Saige. Siblings, Arthur, Linda and LaDena.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Sandy, his son Michael and parents Arthur and Ethel Harp.

Visitation will be held at 10 am on October 19 with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11 am at Greenlawn East Funeral Home in Springfield MO.
