Charles Thomas “Tom” Flint, age 71 of Springfield, MO, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Cox Medical Center South Springfield, MO. He was born March 10, 1951, in Springfield, MO, to Charles William and Lucille (Kilburn) Flint who precede him in death. Tom graduated from Stockton High School the class of 1969 and received a bachelor’s degree in Business from SMS. He was united in marriage to Martha Moreno July 3, 1979.
Tom enjoyed fishing, boating, and an occasional trip to the casino. Tom worked as a manager in retail sales, mostly for Big Lots. He loved and provided for his family and was a great father!
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Martha; one son Troy Flint of Springfield, MO; three daughters: Tammy Cook of Wilmington, N.C., Tonya Flint and Tiffany Flint of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother David Flint of Springfield, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Pitts Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 13, 2023, in the funeral home with Pastor Gary Norcross officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery Cliquot, MO. I worked with Tom for 10 years more than 16 years ago. I have very fond memories of my time working with him. He was fun loving and truly had a heart for the people that worked with him. How you treat people says a lot about the character of a person, and Tom had great character.
I would occasionally see him if I stopped by his store, he was always a joy to talk to. My condolences to his family that he loved so much. He will be missed by many.
