Christina Faith (Faulkner) Long, age 55, was born on October 26th, 1970, in Sutton, West Virginia to Burl and Sharon Faulkner. In 1974, the Faulkner family relocated to Springfield, Missouri. Christina was a cherished sister to Tammy (Faulkner) Cantrell, Phillip Faulkner, and a beloved auntie Tina to Adrian Hodges.
Christina graduated high-school and went right on into cosmetology college. She worked for many years as a beautician. This career was perfectly suited for her talkative, upbeat, and positive personality. She always liked to make people look good and feel good. She was most known for her smile, laughter, beautiful handwriting, her talent and love for the piano, rescuing every bug and spider that crept across the floor, and most of all she loved to play games with her friends and family. She was deeply sentimental and loved the time spent with those she loved. She created time and space to make memories that those of us left behind will treasure forever.
Christina had an overflowing love for her girls. She was married at the age of 20 and gave birth to one biological daughter named Jadyn Christine Long. Jadyn was truly the joy and center of her life. Christina had the voice of an angel and Jadyn inherited that gift from her as well. Together they performed in the exclusive acapella women’s choir called Sweet Adelines. Jadyn became the youngest national member at that time. Later, she had two bonus daughters Trinity and Rose Walls. Trinity’s tenderness, love, and devotion towards Christina has immensely deepened their bond. Six short years ago Trinity gave birth to a beautiful blonde headed little girl named Eliana Rose aka “Ellie” and Christina was promoted to a Gigi. She loved being Ellie’s Gigi. Gigi loved watching movies with Ellie, reading to her, swinging her on the swing set, playing with her, and just spending time with her. They had a short amount of time here together, but it was a sweet and precious time.
Later in life Christina met her best friend, Gary. It didn’t take long for their friendship to flourish. Gary has been a true friend, and he naturally became part of our family.
After Christina’s biological father passed away, she was blessed with the love a bonus dad, Alvin Roberts, whom she accepted right away. He has been a true earthly example of God’s love in many ways. His love for her mended many wounds in her heart and mind and he was able to lead her to the Lord on December 6th, 2025, at 11 pm. Alvin’s great granddaughters, Rayn and Serana Roberts, were an added joy to her life. She cherished the games, laughter, and fun times they shared together!
In 2012, Christina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a battle that eventually left her unable to work. Despite the challenges she faced, her spirit remained strong and her heart full of hope. In February 2025, she was diagnosed with cancer and fought valiantly until her passing on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Christina believed with all her heart that she would overcome this challenge, but the Lord chose instead to deliver her through the battle and into His glory.
Christina Faith Long leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, laughter, and kindness. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19th, 2025, at Greenlawn North Funeral Home, Springfield, Missouri 65803.
