Christopher Mark Laird, 62, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri. He was born on July 17, 1962, in Springfield, Missouri, to Kenny and Linda Laird. He graduated from Bolivar High School, Class of 1980. Chris was an exceptional athlete in high school, excelling in football and track. He enjoyed fishing and golf and loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Kenny Laird. Chris leaves behind two daughters: Sarah (Jeff) and Molly; his mother, Linda; his brothers, Steve and Scott (Adina); 3 granddaughters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
According to Chris’s wishes, his body will be cremated. A remembrance gathering will be held at Polk County Senior Center in the Reidesel Room from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on November 2, 2024.
