Cindy L Rogers (Simpson), age 73, of Springfield, passed away on 6 July 2024 at her home. Cindy was born to Lewis and Frances (Morton) Simpson on 8 July 1950 in Springfield, MO. She attended Hillcrest High School and was later married to Clay A Rogers, also of Springfield. Clay proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard before retiring after 20 years of service. She had one son (Richard Turner) from a previous marriage and two grandsons, Austin and Hunter Turner. She was employed by Associated Grocers for a number of years as well as a local floral shop delivery driver. She loved being with her husband and their dogs. Cindy also loved to crochet and sew.
Cindy was preceded in death by both parents and one younger sister, Francene. She is survived by her husband, Clay; son, Richard; sisters, Donna and Nikki; brothers, Richard and Lewis; and her two grandsons, Austin and Hunter.
Cindy’s family will host a visitation on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Following her funeral service, Cindy will be laid to rest next to family at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Willard.
Arrangements are under the compassionate direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
