Cindy Porter, age 64, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on December 30, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on January 26, 1960, in Excelsior Springs, to Jack and Patricia Cureton. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1995 with honors in nursing, and served as a nurse until her retirement in 2010. Most importantly she was a Mom and Caregiver. She was married to Tom Porter on July 7, 2000, in Willard, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Porter; son, Zach Golden; dad, Jack Cureton; and brother, Harold Cureton. She is survived by her mother Patricia Cureton; children, Amanda Martin, Calvin Cureton, Jason Modersohn, Tripp Porter, Kylie Porter, Melissa Smith (husband Ashton Honnecke), Noah Greer, Drake Greer; grandchildren, Ada Honnecke, Jack Martin, Jake Martin, Yessinia Modersohn, Ty Beasley, Logan Porter, Madison Porter; brother, Bruce Cureton; sisters, Sharon Cureton, Linda Lindstron (husband Steve); nephews, Bruce Cureton, Levi Cureton; and many uncles, aunt, and cousins.
The funeral service for Cindy will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025, 12:30 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, followed by a graveside at Misssouri Veterans Cemetery.
