Funeral services for Clara Christina Combs age 91 of Ozark, Missouri will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the White River Association Youth Camp near Taneyville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Applegate and Rev. John Lee Comer officiating. Burial will follow in the Patterson Cemetery near Bradleyville under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
She passed away on August 23, 2022 at Ozark, Mo..
Clara was born on December 25, 1930 in Cedar Creek, Missouri the daughter of Albert Milton and Ruth May Ely Sims. She was a longtime resident of Taney County and moved from Bradleyville in 1989 to Ozark, Missouri. She was a member of the New Mansion General Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She attended one room country school and in later years received her GED. Clara loved to travel and had been in most of the states and also Canada, Alaska, Scotland and England. She loved to do crafts and sewing and was very talented and could always make something out of nothing. Her family was a very important part of her life and she doted on her grandchildren endlessly. She always put the needs of others before herself and was loved by everyone that met her. She was married to Ernest Combs and to this union was born five children.
Survivors are her five children; Shelva Combs of Ozark, Missouri, Elva Combs wife Sharon of Ozark, Boyd Combs and wife Kayla of Bradleyville, Ethel Bradley of Sparta, Mo., and Diann Knehans and husband Mike of Mountain View, Missouri. Nine grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Kenneth Sims, Betty Day, Ada Edwards and Edna Sims.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
Her wishes that no flowers be sent but, a memorial in her memory be given to New Haven General Baptist Church at Chestnutridge, Missouri.
