Clarence William Davis, 76, of Willard, passed away February 27th, 2012 at Cox South Hospital after a short illness. He was born October 21, 1935 in Greene County to Noble and Helen Davis. He graduated from Springfield’s Senior High in 1953. He worked 44 years for the Frisco Railroad, Burlington Northern Railroad and BN Santa Fe Railroad. He married Gladys Sue (Susie) Anderson on September 2, 1955. They shared more than 56 happy years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David; and his brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Bertie Ann Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Susie; and their three sons and their families: Jeff and Janet of Springfield, Dewayne and Cindy of Willard, and Robert and Sonja of Fishers, Indiana, eight grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Beverly Davis of Galena, Missouri, and his special sister-in-law and her husband, Helen and Clyde Williams of Springfield, Missouri.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Willard United Methodist Women.
