Colleen Renae Griffee, age 67, of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on November 7, 2023. She was the firstborn to Gene and Shirley Griffee on February 26, 1956, in Marysville, Kansas. After completing Golden High School in Golden, Colorado, she moved to Missouri. She traveled many states with Olan Mills coordinating church photo directories.

In the mid ‘90s she graduated from barber school and enjoyed a long career as owner/operator at Bangz Hair Salon. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed hospitality and catering events. Upon retirement, she dedicated herself to home healthcare, assisting several loved ones through end-of-life care.

Survivors include her mother Shirley Griffee of Springfield, Missouri; sister Connie McKeen (Gene) of Turners, Missouri; sister-in-law Jessica Griffee of Shawnee, Kansas; brother Lanny Griffee of West Plains, Missouri; nephew Derek Griffee (Angi) of Springfield, Missouri; niece Leanne Asmussen (Eric) of West Plains, Missouri; and her precious great nephews Dalton Asmussen and Jayden Griffee.

Colleen was preceded in death by her father Gene Griffee, brother Delton Griffee, and sister-in-law Fay Griffee.

Colleen had a love for life, travel, and various forms of painting. She was adventurous and always up for a new experience. She was our beloved spark, and she will be sorely missed. She leaves behind many dear relatives and friends. Colleen has left us the beautiful gift of knowing Jesus Christ is her Savior and we will only be separated for a little time.
