Courtney Paige Phillips, age 37, departed this life on June 28, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Courtney was born on November 2, 1986, in Springfield Missouri. She was compassionate about animals and was known for taking many, large and small, into her care. Courtney excelled at horseback riding and especially enjoyed spending free time with her horses.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Greg Phillips and Terry Leonard; mother and stepfather, Tammye Oldham and BJ Rossi; sister and family, Kendra and Derek, Olivia Grace and Evelyn Marie Blankenship; grandparents, Reuben and Jean Phillips and Harry and Sandra Lightfoot; stepbrothers and stepsisters: Maegan and Steve Cook, Henry and Miles Cook, Dane and Whitney Leonard, and Jacob, Nolan, and Emmie Leonard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and, of course, her beloved pets.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Courtney’s memory to 4 the Love of K-9’s or Watching Over Whiskers pet rescues.

Arrangements are under the compassionate direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
