He is a US Army veteran, and a talented graphic artist whose work with CMH touched many lives. Coy had a passion for art that shone through in his career and personal projects, where his creativity and dedication were truly remarkable. He loved the outdoors and sports.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents William Shay and Ida Annas (Fellers) Shay; four brothers: Bob, JB, Jack, and Billy Gene Shay; and two sisters: Venda Meier and Dorcus Shay.
Coy is survived by two sisters: Rose Butler and Mary Downing; nephews: Robbie Shay, Billy Shay, Chuck Downing, Simmy Carter, Scott Butler, and Brian Meier; nieces: Teresa Mulkey and Gwenn Miller; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Coy will be cremated, and his ashes will be laid to rest at a later date at Payne Cemetery Polk, MO. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
