Curtis Ray Eagon 93, Springfield, MO. passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Maranatha Premier Rehab, after a long illness. He was born on October 2, 1930, in Polk County, MO. to R.W. and Laura (Jones) Eagon. He retired in December of 1986, from Lily Tulip/Sweetheart Cup Company. He loved fishing, traveling, and being with his family.
On October 15, 1954 Curtis and Virgia Lee Eagon/Jones, were united in marriage in Lebanon, Mo. she preceded him in death along with his mother, father, two brothers, one sister, and two grandson’s. He is survived by children: Steven & Deborah Butcher, Gary & Karen Butcher, and Dan & Deborah Rodney, ten grandchildren: Melissa Sadd, Shelby Lauthern, Nigel Henderson, and Clint Butcher, Zach Butcher, Jason Rodney, Kari Rodney, eight great-grandchildren, a brother: Junior and Donna Eagon, and one sister and her husband: Beverly and Ivan Eilenstine.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North
