Cynthia Sue Melton 84, Springfield, MO. passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 after a long illness, she was born in Springfield, MO. and was a long-time area resident. On June 27, 1938, she was born to John and Dorothy (Wingo) Deckert. She was a homemaker and a member of Schweitzer United Methodist Church. She loved watching The Wheel of Fortune and listening to the News.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Deckert, and her husband, Richard Melton. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Fisher and his wife Sherri and her two daughters: Michelle Beck and Margo Sanders and her husband, Roger, along with eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
