In loving memory of Dana Gray, born on September 14, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to Floretta and William “Harry” Gray. He left this earth to be with his heavenly father on November 15, 2023 with his wife of 52 years, Beverly Gray by his side, following a long battle with COPD. Dana was not only a loving and devoted husband, hands-on father and grandfather but also a steadfast, compassionate caregiver.
His selfless character emerged during his service in the Army during combat as an operating room surgical technician during the Vietnam War, where he served with dedication. Post-service, he graduated from Florida Atlantic University, and proudly wore his class ring everyday thereafter. Dana continued his commitment to healthcare through a successful career in Medical sales, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed time with family and friends the most thru many hobbies: camping, boating, fishing, cheering on MSU Lady and Men Bears basketball, Mizzou Football and the KC Chiefs most of all. He cherished his coffee time with Ed Donnell and playing cards with Beverly against Anthony and Isy Harter. His world revolved around his 3 kids and their 6 grandchildren, but there was no doubt that Beverly was the center of his life. Dana loved his family the most and will be greatly remembered for his kind heart, love and sense of humor. His legacy of devotion to Beverly, service for our country and in the medical field, leaves an indelible mark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and only brother Dale Gray; mother and father in-law, Dessie and Murray Sneed; niece, Sarah Jo Sneed; and brothers-in-law, Murray Sneed and Scott Sneed.
