Daniel Riley Robison passed from this life on June 30, 2025 in Springfield, MO, 2 days before his 39th birthday. He and his twin sister were born in Boston, MA at the beginning of 4th of July celebrations on July 2, 1986.
Riley had a wide variety of American cultural experiences in his early life, from Boston and Detroit to rural Arkansas. His family moved to Springfield, MO where he finished High School at Parkview and attended Missouri State University. In Springfield, he put down roots, started his own family and career and remained there until his death. He was a loyal friend, and maintained friendships from wherever he lived.
Whitney Rogers and Riley were High-School sweethearts and married on June 20, 2009. They first met in 1st grade when Riley’s family had a brief relocation to Springfield for educational purposes. The very first day Riley entered Parkview High School they met each other once again. Their daughter, Brielle, was born in 2013.
Riley took 2 years to see if he could make a living through his love of music. Those years were successful, and he never looked back. He started in performance with the Springfield Symphony, local churches and side gigs. As his reputation grew, he did contract work in MO, AR and OK. But he really hit his stride as a teacher. He loved working with young people to see them reach their full potential as musicians. He worked as adjunct faculty at MSU, Evangel, Drury and School of the Ozarks.
Riley attended Central Assembly, Evangel Temple and played in the orchestra at Ridgecrest Baptist. He confessed his faith in Jesus Christ through baptism at Central Assembly. As his illness progressed, he was quick to say that by faith he was not afraid to die. He had hope for eternal life.
Riley was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bert and Voleta Robison, Roy and Evelyn Sullivan, and two paternal aunts: Pam Allen and Trena Billington.
He is survived by his wife, Whitney Robison and daughter, Brielle
Twin sister, Leslie Smith, her husband Alex and sons, Wilder and Bennett
Parents, Tim and Darlene Robison
His life was also enriched by remaining, loving aunts, uncles and cousins and godbrother.
Riley was blessed with loving, faithful friends and a fulfilling career. He had a great intellect and was a voracious reader. His interests were varied. He was compassionate and humorous.
He would be the first to admit his faults. His suffering is over and he rests in God’s peace.
