Daryl James Williams, age 53, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 in his home after short battle with cancer. He was born November 24, 1960, in Waynesville, MO, to John and Beverly (Schaffer) Williams. Daryl was united in marriage to Patricia Stevens on March 16, 1991 in Springfield, Missouri. He was a member of Crossway Baptist Church. Daryl was involved in his family’s business, Dick’s Machine and Motor Supply for many years, Daryl and his wife also owned and operated Springfield Recovery. Daryl and his family are well known in the dirt track racing community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Williams, Pleasant Hope; four children, Amy Perrodin and husband Kameron of Republic, Allison Williams of Springfield, Whitney Williams of Pleasant Hope, and Dayton Williams of Pleasant Hope; two grandchildren, Kalice and Knox; his parents, John (J.W.) and Beverly Williams of Springfield; two brothers, David Williams and wife Brenda of Pleasant Hope and Dan Williams and wife Kathy of Springfield; and a host of family and friends. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for all the compassionate care that Daryl received.
A celebration of Daryl’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Crossway Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
