David E. McDaniel, age 81, Springfield passed away Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 at Maranatha Village.

David was born September 25, 1940, West Liberty, Ohio. He was the son of Neil and Ethel McDaniel. He was a graduate of Parkview High School and served in the United States Navy, retiring in 1982. He was united to Judith Jenkins on September 24, 1960. David currently owned and operated a specialty advertising business in Springfield. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed playing golf when he was younger. Judi was David’s life and they were married over 62 years. He was proud of his faith and will always be remembered as a very kind, giving and compassionate man.

Survivors include his wife, Judi; two sons, Kent McDaniel of Dallas, TX and Steve McDaniel and wife Shelayne of Springfield, TN; two grandchildren, Madi and Jake; one brother, Marvin McDaniel and wife Donna, Springfield, MO; one sister, Betty McCullah and husband Patrick, Springfield, MO; and a host of family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lois Shepherd.

Private graveside services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
