David Gold, beloved son, husband, dad, and papa passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021 at the age of 56 in Springfield, Missouri surrounded by family. David was born on August 01, 1964 to Joe and Eileen Gold of Marionville, MO. After graduating from high school in 1982 he joined the Army and attended basic training in Ft. Bliss, TX. Following basic training he spent the next 2 years in Germany where he worked as a Tomahawk Firing Section Mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1987 upon his return to the United States. After being discharged from the Army he attended and graduated from Tulsa School of Aeronautics where he went on to begin his career with BNSF in April 1990 where he was employed at the time of his passing.
In 1988 he was reunited with former classmate, Carla Gold, also from Marionville, Missouri and they were married in 1990 at which time he also gained a daughter Amy Ford, of Republic, Missouri.
David had 4 grandchildren who loved and admired him and they will forever hold a piece of him in their hearts Wyatt Ford (9), Paisley Ford (7), Silas Ford (5) and Hudson Ford (3) of Republic, Missouri.

David enjoyed spending time with his family, going on vacation to Gulf Shores, AL, working in his shop whether just piddling, working on cars or fixing something we had broken, music and playing his guitar. He was a man of few words and I mean very few words but when he had something to share people were quick to listen and even during silence his presence could be felt. He will forever live on in our hearts and lives.

A favorite verse often shared by David: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
