David H. Dickenson, a true cowboy at heart, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the age of 69. He was at home in Miller, Missouri, where he had lived for the past 22 years.
Born on September 14, 1955, in Jackson County, Missouri, Dave was the eldest of six children born to Roselee Logan. As a brother, he was always just a call away, a steadfast source of strength and guidance for his siblings.
Above all, Dave’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who poured his heart into those he loved. He and his beloved wife, Priscilla, shared a passion for horses, spending countless days caring for them and riding together on trail rides and trips out west. Every grandchild of his had the chance to sit on a horse—something he made sure of. Through his example, he instilled the values of hard work, dedication, and caring for what truly matters.
Dave dedicated 27 years of service to the Federal Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, where he formed lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply. His camaraderie with his colleagues extended beyond work, especially through the many motorcycle rides and good times they shared. He respected each of them in their own right and held onto those friendships until the very end.
Dave and Priscilla were married for 44 years and together raised four children: Lori Beth, Michael, Angela (Chris), and David (Perla).
He was preceded in death by his mother, Roselee Logan; stepfather, Calvin Logan; brother, Dale Logan; and his beloved daughter, Lori Beth.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Priscilla; children, Michael, Angela, and David; and a legacy of grandchildren: Lynnea, Tristan & Rayanna, Noah & Bella, Chloe, Caleb & Saige, Austin & Anna, Abigail, Justin & Rosie, Kevin, Zane, Marshall, and Aaron. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Lila and had the joy of anticipating another great-grandbaby on the way.
Dave’s memory will live on in the hearts of his siblings, in-laws, extended family, and the many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. His spirit—one of dedication, resilience, and unwavering love—will continue to guide those who were lucky enough to know him.
A true cowboy, a devoted family man, and a friend to many, Dave will be deeply missed but never forgotten.”
A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, March 23, 2025; 12pm at The Bank Tavern, 128 NW Washington Ave., Billings, MO 65610.
