David L. Sabo, 59, of Nixa died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born on July 25, 1952 in Pataskala, Ohio, the son of Charles and Clara Sabo.
Dave entered the Navy after graduation in 1970 where he served for 6 years. Upon leaving the service he moved to St. Louis where he worked as Administrative Director for Security while obtaining his associates degree at Florissant Valley Community College. While living in St. Louis, Dave met and married his loving wife, Pam.
Dave and Pam made their home in Fremont Hills in 1988 where he enjoyed spending time with many great friends and pursuing his great love of golf and cheering on his favorite team the Ohio State Buckeyes!
David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Clara Sabo, brother, Chuck and father-in-law, Glen H. Woody.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pam, little buddy, “Koko,” one sister Pam Cooper and husband Oscar, sister-in-law, Judy Sabo, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Steve & Alissha Woody, brother-in-law, Ron Woody, mother-in-law Oda Mae Woody, along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association at 2446 E Madrid Ave Springfield, MO 65804. Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 with a visitation Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Ozark Memorial Park in Branson, Missouri.
