Debra Kay Carver peacefully went to sleep in the early hours of March 16, 2017, and never awakened. She had been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) several years earlier. She was born on June 22nd 1952 in Batesville, AR. She was a member of the East Sunshine Church of Christ, a devout lover of music, science fiction, her former residence of NYC, cats, her niece and nephew and their families. She was a voracious reader, an avid collector of esoteric facts, and a truly nice person. She enjoyed making bead jewelry, playing her piano, and engaging in conversations on most every subject but particularly those related to her advanced degree in Musicology.
She is survived by her sister, Nena Dockery (David) of Springfield, niece Angela Broadnax (Jeremy) of Springfield and nephew Michael Dockery (Mara) of Springfield, and three great-nephews (Branden, Alder and Orion).
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Basel and LouWana Carver of Batesville, AR.
Memorial services for Debra will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
