Delores Marie Butler, 71, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 8, 2021, at Lawrence County Manor in Mount Vernon, Missouri. She was born to Bob and Mary Brooks on April 28, 1950, in Springfield, Missouri.
Delores graduated from Hillcrest High School and enjoyed traveling and had visited Brazil, Germany, Mexico, and Hawaii. She spent time volunteering with the Special Olympics and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She worked for Dillon’s, House of Lloyd, the United States Postal Service, Murney Associates Realtors, and foremost, Green Roof Rentals, retiring in 2007, due to illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Brooks and Mary Brooks; her grandparents: Fisher Bass and Bernice Bass; a grandson, Eric Sloan; and her husband Eugene Butler.
She is survived by her sons: Russell Creed and wife Angie, Wesley Creed and wife Anna; her daughter, Cynthia Slayden and husband Barry; her grandchildren: Noah Creed, Joshua Creed, Mary Creed, Elizabeth Creed, Aaron Creed, Michael Sloan, Anthony Sloan, Amarie Slayden, Jacob Creed, Kaden Creed, Mallory Creed, Brent Sloan; and her sisters: Diana Lewis, Donna Mitchell and husband John, and Darlene Riggs and husband Randy.
There will be a visitation at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
