Dennis Lee Tuter, a beloved figure in the Springfield community, passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on March 16, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri, to his parents, Henry and Lillian (Holstein) Tuter. Dennis dedicated his life to his family and the success of A-1 Refrigeration Company, where he was the owner-operator for 40 years. His commitment to his craft and his unwavering work ethic left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege to know him professionally and personally.
Dennis was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and generous spirit. He was a man of integrity and kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved his trucks and Jeep. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan, and he loved going to Ziggie’s Restaurant. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, Betty Tuter, and his brothers, Gary and Gale. His legacy will be cherished by his sister, Darlene Balvin, and his nieces and nephews grateful for the memories they shared.
As we remember Dennis, may we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens
