Denzil Lee Owen was born on June 20, 1934, in Goodhope, Missouri. Right from the start, his life was full of surprises. The doctor mistakenly recorded his birthday as June 21 and, mishearing his name, thought his parents said “Denzilee.” Believing they’d forgotten a middle name, he added “Edward” (after himself). Times were different in 1934, so, as a result, Denzil’s

I'm so sorry for your loss. Beautiful memorial service. Comforting to know Jehovah has Denzil in his memory. One day closer. Love, Ali Schrader (Green)

We will surely miss seeing and hearing Denzil's comments. He was the first brother to introduce himself to us when we became part of the Nixa Congregation. His prayers were always so encouraging and heartfelt. Jehovah will keep him in his heart till Jesus calls him back to the promised paradise.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Sherry, I'm so sorry for your loss. Denzil was a true friend to me. His and Jack Skaggs, repeated visits, lead me back to Jehovah and the truth. I so thank Jehovah for them. Sherry, all my love to you. May Jehovah's love and spirit comfort you and the family in this time of loss. Remind me to tell you about planting sweet corn in Denzil garden. He had a real laugh. All my love.

Denzil was such a great influence on my life. Always a positive influence. Always checked on me, and offered me fatherly advice using scriptural wisdom. He will be missed. Until we meet again Denzil ❤️

I didn't know Denzel very long, but from the moment I first saw him, I felt drawn to him. You see, he reminded me so much of my daddy, with his bright eyes, and beautiful white hair! Talking to him and hearing his stories of serving Jehovah in the 1940s, with the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses, made me feel even more connected to him. Whenever I saw him, I just always had to "get my hug". I was so sad to hear of his passing, but know that we will welcome him back again soon - it's "just around the corner" and I can't wait to introduce him to my daddy - I'm sure they will be forever friends. Love to Sherry and the Family!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
