Donald ” Don” Eugene Ogden, age 90, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on August 2nd, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family. Don was born to Homer and Sue Ogden on August 13th, 1933 in Maryville, MO. He graduated from Maryville High School in 1951 and married his high school sweet heart, Arlene Gray, on September 1st, 1952. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following the war he earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1963. Don was the founder and operator of Ogden Concrete in Branson, MO, which his son Mike and grandson Chris continues the family legacy today. Don always enjoyed a good round of golf or game of poker.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Homer Ogden; mother, Sue Ogden; brother, Stan Ogden. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Ogden; son Mike Ogden and wife Deana; daughter Janet Foster and husband Bill; grandchildren, Jill (Jay) Wright, Jennifer (Clint) Ackerman, Christopher Ogden, and Emily (Hunter) Weber; great-grandchildren, Jackson Wright, Jane Wright, Jordyn Ackerman, Londyn Ackerman, and Reese Weber; sister, Carolyn Vandoran; brother, Robert (Christy) Ogden and a host of family and friends.
A visitation for Don will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson. Graveside services for Don will be held on Tuesday, August 6th 2024, at 1:30 PM at Ozark’s Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in Don’s honor to the Warriors Watch Riders who will be escorting the procession.
